Her biggest passion is playing basketball. She picked up the sport at the age of 5. Since then she's grown to love the game, the friendships she has formed, and traveling to different states to compete among some of the best athletes.
Taina has her sights set on attending college and playing at the next level.
As a life-long Lakers fan, she has seen some of her favorite players sitting courtside at Vivint, and the Staples Center. Her highlight of 2020 is watching the Lakers win their 17th championship!
Softball is another sport Taina grew to eventually love. At first, her father forced her to play in elementary and middle school. She dreaded it so much at first. By her sophomore year, she decided on her own that she wanted to play again. Unfortunately, her season was cut short by Covid-19 but looks forward to playing again her junior year.
In her free time, she hangs out with her dog, Sunnie, a Goldendoodle. Taina also likes to spend time watching shows on Disney+ and Netflix. Something that she has been watching lately is Holiday Baking Championships on the Food Network. Something about baking and creating cool culinary art catches her attention. When she likes to unwind with some music, she likes to listen to Drake and Post Malone.
As she looks to her future, she hopes to become an Astronomer. Taina has always been interested in space and the solar system and how it applies to our everyday lives.
