Cate Love is 16 years old and a sophomore at East High School. This and Recreation, and The Office. On the weekends, Cate likes hanging out with her friends and sleeping in. She likes to be outside, even if her pale skin doesn’t. She loves rainy days and candles that smell like peppermint- all year long, and she hates it when people walk slow. She has had an interest in writing her whole life and is excited to have the opportunity to do it more. She hopes to improve her writing while on the journalism staff. is her first year on journalism at East. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is the youngest of 3 siblings and has an adorable dog named Percy. She has one brother and one sister. After high school, she plans on attending college out of state. Although she doesn’t know what career she wants yet, she has many ideas. Cate loves to travel with her family and has been to many amazing cities. She hopes that as she gets older, she will see and explore even more places. Cate is a member of East High Dance Company and she has been dancing since she was two years old. It is one of her favorite hobbies and has been her whole life. Another one of her hobbies is baking. She loves anything chocolate and hates vanilla. Cate also likes to play tennis, read, and listen to music. She likes to watch TV shows, but can’t sit through movies. Her favorite books are Little Women and The Book Thief.
