Griffin Kelley
Griffin Kelley is currently in his Junior year at East High School and is in his second year

of journalism. He was born on October 9, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His mother was born in

New York and moved around the country her entire life, and his father was born and raised in

St. Louis, Missouri. Griffin has family in St. Louis and Boston, Massachusetts. His favorite time

of year is winter, when he visits his family in St. Louis for the holiday season. He loves to cook

and play soccer and his favorite soccer team is Manchester City. His favorite thing to eat is

Pesto Cavatappi from Noodles and Company. Griffin supports promoting diversity and

acceptance in school and loves having a class with a variety of cultures and values.

Griffin has been out of the country twice both times visiting southern and central

America. He hopes that one day he can travel to Europe and learn more about the culture there.

He wants to visit Manchester, England, and attend a Manchester City game and support his

favorite soccer team. Griffin wants to attend Washington University in St. Louis for college and

move forward into the medical field. He is beginning his third year in the Health Professions

Academy (HPA) and is enjoying it very much. He is most interested in a position specifically

sports medicine. Over the break Griffin had an enjoyable summer visiting his family in Boston

and Cape Cod. His favorite aspect of traveling is eating different foods in different areas.

His favorite artists to listen to are Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Post Malone. He has one

older brother who has graduated high school and working on the next step in his schooling

career. He has one dog named Yuki. He is an Akita which is a Japanese breed that Griffin’s

parents have had for a long time. Griffin attended Clayton Middle School for both 7th and 8th

grade. Before that he went to Uintah Elementary School which he very much liked. Griffin had a

challenging past year and is focusing on learning from his mistakes and becoming a better

student and person.
