If you have a nut allergy make sure to bring your Epipen to the Peanut Butter Falcon movie. Zack Gottagan, a man with down syndrome, leads the role as himself. Zac has been left by his parents and has no one to care for him so he lives in a nursing home, where he hopes to escape and meet his wrestling idol, Saltwater Redneck. He ends up meeting Tyler, played by Shia Lebeouf, who is in conflict with a couple of rivals. Zac and Tyler end up becoming “bro dawgs” as Zac has always wanted as they go on their adventure to meet the wrestler, Saltwater Redneck. They end up meeting Eleanor, played by Dakota Johnson, and soon enough they become a family. 

Peanut Butter Falcon is based around Zack Gottagan’s actual life off of set. He is a 34 year old man with down syndrome. He loves to swim, party, and wrestle, and is very honest and open. He dreamed of always being a star. In the scene where Tyler and Zac are partying out by the shore, Zac smears peanut butter all over himself as Tyler prepares him to be a wrestler. As they both dance around, Tyler suggests to Zac that he needs to have a wrestler name. Zac then gets a blanket on his back and Tyler helps tie the fake cape on. Zac proceeds to then act as if he’s flying as he screams at the top of his lungs, “Peanut butter falcon!!”, which leads to the birth of his wrestling name. They exercise day and night to meet saltwater redneck. Soon after they get to moving and end up at Saltwater Rednecks, Zac has the best time of his life wrestling and expressing his love for wrestling.
